Ninth: Recording Sucks

Grids took down "Old California" from that website we use because it wasn't properly mastered yet. Also, Josh asked if it was a joke. Joke's on him!
Record release show is in a month for the record Lunchbox did. Yardwork, Moenda, and Tenspeed are all playing it. I'm pretty sure I pissed Joe off with my choices for bands, but everyone playing is excellent and it's just enough of a clusterfuck to be fun.
Recording went smoothly, which was kind of a surprise.

also, the grids went to atlanta last weekend.

Eight: Recording Accordingly

Grids spent today recording too many songs with too many people at Threshing Floor with Jeremey Snyder.  We finished 6 songs, even mixed them all down.
uploaded a song because I love everyone

Old California

This song and three others are going to be out on a 7" on Inkblot records in a few months.
There's another album in the works that we're recording for in July. three records in '09 for the Grids Party Patrol.

After four days of seeing sunrises, screaming my brains out, and banging my head up and down to two of the best bands in the South East, I'm finally going to bed.

seventh: 7" Update

7 INCH:
After quite some time of waiting we finally received some test presses in the mail of what is now being referred to as the PGCOBUIBQTAUWTCS 7″. One side did not turn out correctly, so we will be receiving new test presses in about a week. The record release party for the PGCOBUIBQTAUWTCS 7″ is slotted for June 12th @ The Milestone w/ Yardwork, Moenda and Tenspeed. We will have a limited edition version of the 7" with special artwork (just think of Joe frowning with a rainbow going over his face) amd all records will have a digital download code.

NEXT WEEKEND:
We are doing some dates with Hawks and Thank God (Apr 24th & 25th) and recording new material with Jeremy Snyder (Apr 26th) for a new 7" to be release by Inkblot Records late this Summer.

TOUR:
Tour with Meth Mountain (May 24th - May 31st) going up and down the east coast.

And just a side note, This awesome dude in Chapel Hill is building Rob a custom amp and its turning out pretty rad so far:

Sixth: Updates

Has it really been over 3 months since I last updated this?

We've been done with our first 7" for a few months now. Things are running slow at United Record Pressing so its taking some time. The record is untitled and will be a Lunchbox release. We're hoping for a release date sometime in early Summer. So since things are running behind by a couple months we've had time to write some new stuff. We'll be writing a couple more and recording again within the next couple of months for a 7" to be released via Inkblot Records. We're also in the "talking" stage of an idea of doing a one sided 12" to be released through our buddy Mike's (Hawks) label, Trans Ruin. So we're planning on having 3 records out in 2009.

Lots of rad shows lately. Show with Fucked Up at The Milestone, Rosemont Apartment show was fun, show with These Arms are Snakes was great, Yauhaus show with Chronic Youth coming up and a 3 day weekend in April with Hawks and Thank God. We will also be doing a small tour up the east coast in late May with Meth Mountain.

That's it for now.

Third

Much has happened since our last post on here...

First and most importantly: As many of you know we were forced to cancel all of our plans in October due to Rob's health situation. But we're glad to post that Rob's surgery went well and he is back at home recovering. He will have one more procedure done on Halloween and we will be back in action on November 14th playing a show at Lunchbox Records with Lowbrow, Chrissakes and The Sunglasses.

Secondly: A couple months back we started getting complaints and police showing up at our door for practicing at our house so we moved into a practice space with our friends in the band Guernica. So we've been practicing very consistently writing a lot of new material which is being prepared for a Grids 7". New song titles include: "Mabey", "Brain Drain" and "Suits". We've also been kicking around the idea of a split 7" with our Atlanta friends HAWKS.

Third: Huge show on December 5th at The Milestone. Shuffle Magazine Loud Party featuring Giant, Calabi Yau, Thank God, Grids, The Curtains of Night, Battle Beast and more. Cookout before the show. 18+. 8pm. $3. www.themilestoneclub.com
